Current Projects...
The LDN UTD Inter-Borough Esports Championships will use the power of esports and
education to provide youngsters across the Borough with the opportunity to enhance their skills through digital workshops, hosted in partnership with Staffordshire University London, Salford University and University of East London, and with the support of both the Mayor of London and a number of local partners and charities. Workshops will be themed around a variety of topics including video editing, social media management, graphic design, on-camera hosting and commentating - all skills that have been a contributing factor in making esports a billion-pound industry worldwide.
Working with Hackney Social Services as well as Child's Parents to create a holistic approach into his/her personal development. This includes socially, Mentally and Physically. We will be mentoring Child throughout the School terms, enabling us to create a relationship/bond allowing us to achieve realistic targets of achievement. We will engage Child several times a week after school, taking him/her to our extra-curricular activities as well as having 1-to-1 time, allowing us to mentor and gain a better understanding of his/her mental state.
Shadow To Shine would like to deliver a 6 week employability course in partnership with The Wickers Charity for unemployed young people currently accessing some of The Wickers Charity services. The programme will focus on 2 aspects: personal development and employment. Both aspects link well together and neither is beneficial without the other. Shadow To Shine will provide the careers content and The Wickers Charity will provide personal development content. Both organisations will work together on joint/overlapping content. After successful completion of the course, the young people will progress to ‘phase 2’ and be given access to 12-months of monthly mentoring by one of Shadow To Shine’s corporate mentors

Aiming to increase diversity within the Science Industry, The Institute of Science plan to create workshops, work placements and internship schemes to help young BAME students to experience career opportunities within the industry. Our programmes aim to supply the Institute of Cancer research with young people interested in this opportunity. The programme includes Employability and Mental mentoring throughout, allowing for easier transition for inner-city youths.
